Run for Ricey 5K

April 9, 2014 by Karen Batt Leave a Comment

It’s projected to be a balmy spring day (perhaps with a passing April shower) for the first race in the NSS Grand Prix series this Saturday! The Third Annual Run for Ricey is to honor fallen Peabody Fire Fighter James Rice who tragically lost his life while fighting a house fire in his home town in 2011. All proceeds benefit the James Rice Memorial Fund. Last (Really) Long Run Before Boston

April 1, 2014 by Karen Batt 1 Comment

So many hills and such steep ones, I've begun to think back nostalgically at what I used … [Read more...] about What Goes Up Must (Thankfully!) Come Down, or a Postcard from Vermont

Festivus 5K

December 23, 2013 by Karen Batt 1 Comment

The 2013 NSS Grand Prix series wrapped up this past Sunday with the 2nd Annual Festivus 5K. The weather was downright balmy for mid-December, and there was a great turnout of runners - many in their finest holiday costumes - for the race. At the warm and cozy after-party at Finz, many of the age group awards were handed out among our team. Dan Forster was the first Strider to … [Read more...] about Festivus 5K
