Runners competing for one of the three North Shore Strider Teams at the 2016 Boston Marathon faced clear skies (no shade) and temperatures in the high 60’s until a cold east wind hit runners in the face as they came down Heartbreak Hill.
The Striders would also like to recognize the Mile 12 crew this year, which kept water and Gatorade flowing through several waves and a heat wave. Despite the warm day and pesky wind, we were cleaned up in record time and I’m pretty sure the Striders left that stretch of the route cleaner than we found it.

Excellent job, everybody! Runners and crew represented the North Shore Striders in fine fashion!
