Beverly, MA, August 4, 2016 –
Dave Newhall proved himself the toughest of the tough by running the Beverly Homecoming 5K two days after he ran the Yankee Homecoming 5K. Remarkably, after Dave finished 2nd M70+ in Newburyport, he was 1st M70+ in Beverly and, even more remarkably, he lowered his 5K time by almost 2 minutes on just one day of recovery.
Betsy O’Brine finished just 9 seconds in front of Dave Newhall, but it was enough to earn Betsy bragging rights as fastest Salem Saturday Slacker from Beverly.
Jen O’Neil and her son Erich bested Jill Page and Jill’s son John in the very unofficial NSS/Beverly Homecoming Mother-Son competition.
