Your North Shore Striders Super Secret Selection committee (NSSSSSC)has been hard at work and has finalized the first three months of the schedule.
1) The Third Annual Run for Ricey 5K is to honor fallen Peabody Fire Fighter James Rice who tragically lost his life while fighting a house fire in his home town in 2011. All proceeds benefit the James Rice Memorial Fund.
Event Date: Saturday, April 12, 2014, Event Time: 9 am
Race Location: Samuel Brown Elementary School, 150 Lynn Street, Peabody MA.
2) The NECC Campus Classic 5K, Haverhill
Date: Saturday, May 3, 2014, 10 am
Location: Northern Essex Community College’s Haverhill Campus, 100 Elliott St., Haverhill, MA
3) Dory Run 5K (Volunteer only), Swampscott (Gary Freedman is the Race Director)
Date: Memorial Day, May 26, 2014 9 am
The NSSSSSC reports that they will have a final schedule of events ready within a few days. We’ll soon see if all of the reported arm-wrestling and arm-twisting is successful.
