Several Striders have informed me that the YMCA says that the Run the Goose 7K will not be held this year.
Without the relatively short Run the Goose 7K to pair with the really tough Around Cape Ann 25K, we will have to drop this long/short race combo from the 2016 NSS GP.
This will reduce the number of events in the NSS GP to 15 and the maximum number of points to 80. Also, the number of points necessary to receive a special NSS Grand Prix sweatshirt, jacket, or vest is now reduced to 60 points.
(The exact item of clothing earned will be selected in December by the Ironrunners.)
