15-year old North Shore Strider Sean Michael Kay, son of Sean and Halyna Kay, in a meet on Staten Island, NY, ran 9:25.83 and became the USATF National Champion at 3000 Meters for 15-16 year-olds.
If you have 10 minutes to spend, here’s a cool video of Sean’s race (watch Sean in the blue singlet as he destroys the field): http://www.usatf.tv/gprofile.php?mgroup_id=45365&mgroup_event_id=5517&year=2018&do=videos&video_id=236597
Sean ran the 3000 Meters National Championship on Friday… on Saturday (after his Dad made him run the 800M) he finished 4th in the 1500!
