You can wait inside the bus until it’s time for you to move to the starting line or you can hang out in the Athletes’ Village. In case of inclement weather, you can stay inside our bus and be warm and dry with your own restroom on board. The Athletes’ Village with all runner amenities will be located at the Hopkinton Middle/High School. Our club bus NSS #1 Bus (with a big MBT Worldwide logo) will be parked in the club bus parking lot at Hopkinton Middle/High School by 7:15. A note from the BAA about bags: Last year, the BAA informed us that “runners being transported in the club bus program should be prepared for inspection. Buses must be IN Hopkinton between 6:30 AM and 7:15 AM. Runners will be allowed to have baggage on the charter buses. However NO bags will be allowed off of the buses.” Until we hear otherwise, we are operating under last year’s instructions. If you leave baggage on our club bus NSS #1 Bus, it will be donated to charity unless you make specific arrangements with Mike Pelletier to transport your baggage back to Salem.
NSS BUS #2
A second bus (NSS #2 Bus) will provide transportation to the 52 South Street Parking Lot in Upton (Exit 21B off of 495) from which registered runners with official bib numbers will board shuttle buses to the Athlete’s Village located at the Hopkinton Middle/High School. It is our understanding that what you take into the Athlete’s Village will be limited like last year and must be left behind in the Village. Please note that if you take NSS #2 Bus, you may still join us on NSS #1 bus in the club bus parking area when runners in Waves 1 and 2 leave the bus, plus you will get to sleep an extra 1 ¾ hours before commencing your day. NSS #2 Bus will not work for runners in Waves 1 and 2. Anne Pelletier, an experienced marathon runner, will be on-board and coordinating the NSS #2 Bus.
