Hit the Street for Little Feet 5K

MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA - Thirty-two Striders (16 males & 16 females) went to
Manchester for the first race of the 2011 NSS Grand Prix. Rick Johnson,
Carl Buxbaum, Sean Kay the Younger, Linda Fitzpatrick,
Alexandra Kay, and Bonnie Hallinan won their respective age
groups. Nailing second place in their age groups were Neil Bernstein,
Sean Kay the Elder, Sue Quimby (also 1st Strider Woman), Lauren
Hamilton, Steve Keenholtz, Jayne Sexton, and Linda
Desjardins. Finishing third in an age group were Pattie Clocher, Lanse
Stover, and Mike Pelletier.
The Kay family jumped out to an early lead in the
First Family of NSS Running category and look like a good bet to win the 2011
title.
In the Dubious Achievement Award category, Armand
Claveau and Mike Pelletier tied for "Oldest Runner in the Race."
Mike and Armand have now achieved their 2011 Goal for the Goal
Busters program. April 2 may be a new record for earliest achievement of a goal
for Goal Busters.
