Van to Hopkinton for Boston Marathon on April 21,
2008
Open to all Boston marathoners; not just North
Shore Striders
If you are running in the Boston Marathon on Monday, April
21,
- You can drive into Boston and then take a yellow school
bus to Hopkinton where you will wait in an open field until race time or
- You can beg a friend or relative to spend 1.5 hours of
their time driving you to a parking area miles from Hopkinton from whence you
can take a yellow school bus shuttle into downtown Hopkinton and walk to the
Athlete's Village to wait in an open field until race time while your friend
or relative spends another 1.5 hours driving home or
- You can ride with the North Shore Striders on a
27-person van with comfortable seats from Vinnin Square on the
Salem/Swampscott line directly to Hopkinton High School where you may wait
inside the van, staying warm and dry, until race time. (The bus parking lot at
the high school is right next to the baggage buses for your convenience.)
Departure Time: 6:40am from
in front of Staples at Vinnin Square (Rt. 1A) on the
Salem/Swampscott line.
Cost: $20 per Strider; $25 per non-Strider
The van is open to all Boston marathoners; not just North
Shore Striders. The Striders running Boston get priority but we welcome
non-Striders to join us on the van and celebrate with us.
